About This Website
FridayOptionTrader.com began in 2015 as a small trading service centered on weekly Friday-expiring options. At the time, opportunities mainly existed at the end of the week, so the analysis and communication were built around those sessions.
In 2016, with the expansion of weekly expirations in SPX and SPY, the trading approach evolved into an intraday process that could be applied throughout the week. SPX Option Trader was launched to handle the daily trade communication and real-time updates.
Because the same methodology was now being used every day, maintaining two active alert services no longer made sense. During 2017 the live trade alerts were consolidated into SPX Option Trader, where the real-time communication continues today.
FridayOptionTrader.com is now maintained as a written publication and commentary site. The articles here focus on market behavior, trading decision-making, and observations drawn from intraday participation in the S&P 500 index options market.
This site does not provide trade alerts or signals. It documents how the market behaves and how experienced traders interpret price movement during the trading session. SPX Option Trader operates separately as the live trade communication service.
